I’m often asked by expecting mummas… when is the best time to stock up on postpartum foods ?

Whilst there is no one-size fits all in any part of pregnancy, there’s a few things to take into consideration when planning the delivery of your postpartum nourishment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Feeling organised brings with it personal support and a sense of calm
  • Postpartum can last a long time so an initial collection of nourishing foods is worth preparing in advance
  • Babies don’t always arrive on time, and sometimes can come into the world earlier than expected
  • Consider what you plan on eating and drinking during labour as this can make a huge difference to your energy levels and physical comfort

I would recommend you have a clear plan of what foods you would like to include postpartum at the start of your third trimester. With delivery and a stocked freezer around 35 weeks.
