Sweet Kitchari

Made for Mothers Sweet Kitchari is a heavenly way to start your day, or if you are craving a sweet, nourishing meal or snack. A layering of mung dal and white rice simmered in coconut cream, with coconut flakes toasted in chai spice and a dash of maple syrup on top. Finished with fruits of the season. This draws on Ayurvedic principles and will be a sweet and comforting addition to your meal repertoire.

Moving with the seasons, we include figs or pears in autumn. Pears or rhubarb in winter. Strawberry in spring. And Pineapple in summer.

Handcrafted in small batches, we give careful consideration to the sourcing of everything in the MFM pot. We use organic produce and support local, regenerative farms.

Botanical broth (water, ginger, lemon, turmeric, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, gotu kola, clove, pepper, arame), coconut cream, seasonal fruit, short grain rice, mung-dal, coconut flakes, maple syrup, coconut oil, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, clove

Gluten & dairy free

Ginger, lemon, turmeric, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, gotu kola, clove, pepper, arame

Warm your Sweet Kitchari to a simmer, stirring regularly, then take it off the heat, cool and consume. I like to consume my Sweet Kitchari as is. I also recommend adding your favourite selection of nuts and seeds.
