Tamago Kake Gohan

A very easy, super delicious bowl of goodness which can be made in minutes. This is Japanese comfort food called Tamago Kake Gohan. A really great way to get a dose of broth into yourself and your little ones! When i was first introduced to this traditional home cooked bowl. I was in love at first sight.

 

Ingredients

1 cup brown rice

1.5 cups mfm immune broth

2 tsp grated garlic

2 tsp grated ginger

1 egg yolk

sprinkle of japanese seasoning

(shichimi - seaweed, sesame, chilli)

 

Method

Bring mfm’s Immune Chicken Broth and grated garlic and ginger to the boil then add the rice and turn to low. Simmer for 40 minutes and sit for 5. Top with an egg yolk and some Japanese seasoning (shichimi - seaweed, sesame, chilli).
