Italian Tomato


Made for Mothers classic Italian Tomato passata is made with the finest Italian tomatoes and a 24 hour slow simmered base of collagen rich chicken broth, nettle, parsley and bay. We have used a traditional method of sautéing a finely grated soffritto of carrot, celery, onion and garlic which imparts benefits form the vegetables and works to neutralise the acidity of the tomatoes. This soffritto is simmered with the chicken broth, tomatoes and basil leaves for a further 8 hours creating a lusciously deep red sauce. One jar feeds a family of four with pasta or another base of your choice.

Handcrafted in small batches, we give careful consideration to the sourcing of everything in the MFM pot. We use organic produce and support local, regenerative farms.

Serving Suggestions

Warm your sauce to a simmer, stirring regularly, then take it off the heat, cool & consume. Serve it with your favourite pasta, zucchini noodles, meatballs, oven roasted eggplant or as pizza sauce.
