Made for Mothers Kitchari is the perfect comfort food. Restorative for new mothers, and for anyone feeling under the weather or in need of a cleanse. Kitchari is a staple healing food in Ayurveda and believed to balance the doshas, detoxify the body and purify the digestive system.

This variation includes oven roasted cauliflower which has been spiced with garam masala giving it a hint of heat and very warming to the body's inner workings. Topped with roasted cashew nuts and curry leaves, it is a wonderfully balanced and flavoursome meal. 

Handcrafted in small batches, we give careful consideration to the sourcing of everything in the MFM pot. We use organic produce and support local, regenerative farms.

Serving Suggestions

Warm your Kitchari by bringing it to a simmer, stirring regularly, then take it off the heat, cool and consume. I like to consume my Kitchari as is. I also recommend adding herbs like coriander and fennel or spicing it up with a little chilli. You can add a side of leafy greens or brassica vegetables like broccoli for a more substantial meal.
